Martin Luther King Jr. Day

On Monday, January 16th,  the United States honors and celebrates the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He said, “The time is always right to do what is right.” He was a leader in the advancement of civil rights in the United States using nonviolent civil disobedience. He received the Nobel Peace Prize and the Presidential Medal of Freedom. He helped to organize the 1963 March on Washington where he delivered his famous “I Have a Dream” speech.
